My family and I have been occupying my present multi-storey semi-detached residential building, facing northeast; for the past thirty years. All of us have been getting on fine – being strong and healthy and at the same time, doing fairly well in all our undertakings pertaining to our careers or our business ventures.
There was an occasion when my family members and I have decided to carry out some major renovations on our residence since most of its parts had been worn out. A fresh coat of paint was also applied to its walls after the renovations. My family and I had begun to shift into one of our relatives’ homes as soon as our house renovation had commenced. The whole renovation had taken about a few weeks to complete. Just as the renovations had completed, all of us had started to shit back into our home again. However, this time around, things appeared to change for the worse for most of us. Our business had not been doing well after the renovations. Some members of the family were having difficulties in their career advancements. To add insult onto injury, a few family members, especially those who are aged; were having health problems. Please advise.
 
Feng shui practitioners will not advise their clients, having homes facing northeast, to carry out renovations, especially major ones, during a certain period of time. It is a feng shui belief that renovations at the northeast direction during that particular period may provoke or disturb a negative or harmful star known as “star number five”. As soon as this star is triggered off, negative effects of feng shui may be emitted, giving rise to negative happenings such as ill health, marital disharmony, injuries or bankruptcy upon most of the occupants of the residence.
Most feng shui masters believe that certain persons may be affected more than the others, depending on their horoscopes. In your case, it is believed that the renovations of your residence had affected the negative star; hence, inauspicious effects of feng shui had been drawn into your house and its surroundings, causing bad health and declining of career advancements to certain members of your family.
Anyway, all is not lost. You may do something in overcoming that harmful star and its bad feng shui. It is recommended that you should put up an aquarium at the central portion of your porch. Fill the aquarium with nine gold fish and make sure the gold fish belong to the black color species. At the same time, put a few antique Chinese (hollowed) coins into the aquarium as well. Putting up the aquarium must be done on an auspicious date. It must be emphasized that in this aspect, the services from a genuine feng shui practitioner should be sought. It is extremely detrimental for laymen to put up the aquarium themselves! It is also advisable for you to frame up a copper plating (engraved with fruits) – approximately sixty centimeters by approximately one hundred centimeters – on the wall close to the main entrance of your house so that it may help in dispelling the inauspicious effects of feng shui (created by the harmful star) more effectively.
