All through the years, we (my husband, my five children and my parents-in-law) had been staying in a big and luxurious single-storey bungalow at the countryside, a distance away from the town. We had been fortunate in the sense that we had been blessed with the elements of good luck all along the years; our hearts’ desires had been fulfilled and more importantly, we were strong and healthy at all times. It had been a long time since we last renovated our building; and because of that, my family and I had decided to carry out some renovations to it.
Prior to the renovations, the main entrance or front door of our house had been located at the right side of our building. During the renovations, however, in order to add a new flavor or taste to our residence; all of us had decided to change or alter the positioning of our main door or entrance so that it (our main door) was to be repositioned at the left side of our residence. We had completely forgotten all aspects linked with good feng shui at that moment.
Anyway, now that the renovations had been completed, things begin to change for the worse. Most of our wishes do not materialize like before; our elderly folks do not seem to be as strong and as healthy as before; and more importantly, the essence of good luck does not appear to come by easily for all of us. We begin to realize that the positive effects of feng shui of our residence probably had been converted to the negative effects of feng shui, just as our house renovations had started.
Well, is it true that our residence has been besieged by inauspicious effects of feng shui? Please advise.

Since you, your husband, your children and your parents-in-law had been blessed with the ingredient of good luck (as a results of the good feng shui in your home); you should not change or alter any prominent feature, especially the main door (or entrance) of your residence at all.
Feng shui principles emphasize that the left side of a building belongs to the area of the “ching loong” (green dragon); whereas the right side of a building belongs to the area of the “pak foo” (white tiger). You see, in order to determine a suitable positioning of the main door of your residence; it has to be based on the calculation of the birth data or date of your husband (as he is considered the head of the family). This calculation then has to be completed by the calculation of the flying star of the period when you and your family had started to occupy your present home. From all the information gathered, it would seem appropriate to say that even if a genuine feng shui master were to determine or calculate a suitable positioning for the main door of your home; he/she would have considered the right side of your building (the “pak foo” area which was actually the original positioning of the main door of your residence) to be the most suitable site of all!
Feng shui precepts would reiterate that the positioning of the main door of your house (at the right side) would be in accordance or compatible with the horoscope of your husband, the head of the family. Since everything was in accordance with feng shui principles, it was obvious that all of you had been blessed with good “chi”, auspicious eng shui and the element of good luck all through the years. Now that the main entrance of your house has been located at the left side (or the “ching loong” area), it is considered to be incompatible with the horoscope of your spouse; hence, bad “chi”, inauspicious feng shui have been drawn into your house. A spate of bad luck occurs. However, all is not lost.
You can still do something to overcome the problem. Relocate the main door to its original site – the “pak foo” area or the right side of your residence – so that it is compatible with the horoscope of your spouse again. With everything in order, you fill find that good “chi”, auspicious feng shui and the element of good luck may soon come a-calling at your residence (through the main door) again!
