About two years ago; my uncle and aunt (and together with their children) had traveled to a foreign country; and because of that, my uncle had instructed my family and I to look after his residence during the period when he and his family were overseas. My aged parents, two siblings and I had decided to shift into my uncle’s house; occupying it as well as look after it. My uncle’s residence, a big multi-storey bungalow together with all its fine fittings and decorations; is indeed glamorous and attractive to the human eye. However, after my family and I had moved into this big bungalow; I had discovered that things did not seem to be that smooth going for me (especially on matters related to my career advancement) at all.
By the way, I would like to describe the unique characteristics pertaining to the hall in my uncle’s house. No doubt, the living room or the hall (on the ground floor) in my uncle’s house is spacious, but then, it happens to be smaller in size; as compared to the master bedroom which is situated (at the front portion) on the first floor of my uncle’s residence. In certain corners of the hall, however, a few pillars have been constructed; and they have been painted in psychedelic colors, which may appear to be eerie and frightening; especially in the darkness of the night.
Now tell me, is it true that these features may have attracted inauspicious effects of feng shui to my uncle’s house; thus, creating difficulties for me in all situations, especially on matters related to my career advancement?

Feng shui principles will not agree with the idea of constructing a hall (of a house) which is smaller in size; when compared to the size of the master bedroom or any other bedrooms in the same building. If such a situation arises, the head of the family will, most likely; encounter difficulties in managing his staff or subordinates in his place of work. His subordinates will probably be disobedient and rebellious towards him; creating problems and difficulties for him and his organization at all times. In your case, if you happen to hold the post as the head of the organization; you will possibly meet the same fate as well.
In order to overcome your problems; what you have to do is renovate the hall in your uncle’s house (withy our uncle’s permission, of course) so that its size is bigger than that of the size of the master bedroom. Referring to the pillars in your uncle’s hall; feng shui practitioners are against the idea of seeing their clients constructing unwanted or extra pillars in their (clients’) halls or bedrooms. It is a feng shui belief that the pillars are symbols of obstruction towards one’s career advancement. And having pillars painted in psychedelic colors will aggravate the situation; as far as feng shui tenets are concerned. Inauspicious feng shui of a much greater force will likely be set in within the residence and its surroundings. In addition, the bad “chi” and the bad feng shui emitted by the colors may cause the occupants to be shrouded in fear; especially in the silence or stillness of the night.
Referring to your case, because of the negative “chi” and the negative effects of feng shui created by the pillars in the hall; it is a feng shui belief that your career advancement may not be that smooth going or that smooth running for you after all. Anyway, in order to overcome this dilemma; it is recommended that the extra or unwanted pillars in the hall should be pulled down so that the hall does not become a living area of fear anymore. Positive “chi” and auspicious feng shui will then be attracted to your uncle’s residence again; thus, enabling you to sail through life with much ease.
